Trust Company Makes Board Appointment
PORTLAND, Ore. (October 3, 2006) –
Allen Trust Company today announced it has added John W. “Jack”
Winter, Jr. to its board of directors.
“We are happy to have Jack join us,” said Stuart Allen, President of
Allen Trust Company. “He has a high level of understanding regarding
the issues surrounding our business as do all our board members. We
look forward to working with him to make Allen Trust all it can be.”
Winter spent most of his career with Arthur Andersen, LLP. His last
position with them was managing partner of Andersen’s Pacific
Northwest Audit and Business Advisory. Since leaving Andersen in
1998, he has engaged in venture capital activities as well as
ownership and management of entrepreneurial businesses.
Allen Trust board members Cam Richardson and Vern Cameron joined
when the company was chartered by the state of Oregon in April of
this year. Cam Richardson practiced law in the area of planning for
family wealth transfers. He has authored a number of articles on
wealth management.
Vern Cameron spent 46 years in the investment industry, starting at
Merrill Lynch and concluding as U.S. Bank Trust Department’s vice
president, senior portfolio manager. He currently serves as
arbitrator for the National Association of Security Dealers (NASD).
Winter is the sixth board member for Allen Trust Company. Stuart
Allen, Sarah Allen, and Edward Hughes, all continuously affiliated
with Allen Trust Company, round out the board.
Allen Trust Company provides trust and investment management

National Independent Trust Company (NITC), Allen Trust Company still
uses the services of NITC, but now operates independently. Allen
Trust Company was chartered by the state of Oregon as a trust-only
