Trust Company Adds New Assistant Portfolio Manager
PORTLAND, Ore. (January 7, 2008) –
Allen Trust Company today announced it has added Monica P. Poveda as
an Assistant Portfolio Manager. In this role, Monica will perform
investment research and analysis and assist in all aspects of
managing client portfolios.
“Our assets under management increased 35% last year. We really
needed someone special not only to support our current portfolio
manager but to also maintain our current level of service to our
clients,” said Stuart B. Allen, President of Allen Trust Company.
“There simply was no one as qualified to provide the array of skills
necessary to move the company to the next level.”
Monica earned her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the
University of Oregon, and her Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration/Management Information Systems, magna cum laude, from
the University of Tulsa.
A world-ranked professional tennis player after college, Monica also
worked as Assistant Coach of the University of Oregon Women’s Tennis
team while earning her MBA, and helped lead the team to a Top 20
national ranking, its highest ever.
Prior to that she founded and ran a successful computer consulting
business in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. At present Monica is pursuing her
Masters of Science in Financial Analysis (MSFA) at Portland State’s
School of Business and is a Level I candidate in the Chartered
Financial Analyst (CFA) program.
