A member of the Allen Trust Company team since 2018, Kate’s work includes trust administration, managing client relationships and partnering with allied professionals and charitable organizations.

Kate’s administrative career began in her family’s fourth-generation Iowa law firm, where she worked during college breaks. Her music degree from the College of Saint Benedict & Saint John’s University in Minnesota led her to graduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. A part time position at the UW medical school led to full time work supporting the Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics.   After moving to Portland in 1998 to work for a local microphone manufacturer, Kate later joined the gift planning team at OHSU & Doernbecher Foundations. During her 16 years there, she was reintroduced to trust and estate administration, and she became adept at property gift management and outreach activities. This invaluable experience brought her to Allen Trust Company.

In addition to volunteering, Kate enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, sewing, and putting her music degree to good use singing and playing bass, currently with her alt-country band, Jawbone Flats.
